Giving schools the equipment they need to teach STEM and build awareness of renewable energy and energy efficiency.

Genesis customers can now help schools get the STEM equipment they need to inspire students to become the next generation of New Zealand innovators.  Customers can donate to the Trust with a monthly top-up on their bill.

The Trustees of the Genesis School-gen Trust are pleased to announce a further six schools will receive STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) equipment packages and one school a solar equipment package. The total value of the equipment packages being distributed is $50,000.

Maungatapu School received a $5k grant for STEM equipment in May of 2019 and used the funding to get a two microscopes, a drone, a television to relay visuals from the microscopes and a wide variety of pre-prepared slides for the microscopes. 

200 Students get Chromebooks from Trust during Covid-19 crisis

In response to Covid-19 and the impact on school students, the Genesis School-gen Trust organised the purchase and distribution of 200 Chromebooks to students who currently have no device at home so they could continue their learning during school shutdowns.
